COVID-19 Update 19-03-20

Our Response

We trust you are keeping well in these challenging times. Clearly government guidelines are changing on a daily basis, but, we wanted to take a moment to outline the approach we are adopting for the time-being.

Contact

As you will be aware the government has advised that all workers that can work from home, should work from home.

Therefore, as from today, please assume that your normal contact will be working from home, but, you can continue to contact any of us by calling the usual phone number, 01628 475455. Your call will be transferred accordingly.

We will continue to operate an “in-office” skeleton staff to handle post and take deliveries, until such time as we are told we must close the office completely.

Business as usual

We are operating on a “business as usual” basis. Therefore, please continue to send us your queries and questions, and payroll, accounts, VAT return, tax return etc…information in the normal manner. If this involves dropping-off records, please email/phone first, to ensure someone is there to take delivery.

In accordance with the social-distancing measures, we are not engaging in face to face meetings. With the technology available there is no reason why virtual meetings cannot be arranged, whether in the form of video-conferencing or simply by telephone.

We will keep you updated as and when our modus operandi changes.

Government support

The government announced a package of measures to support businesses through this period of disruption caused by COVID-19. See https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-employers-and-businesses-about-covid-19/covid-19-support-for-businesses. This is fairly self-explanatory, but, should you have any queries please contact us and we will try to help where can, and keep you updated throughout this period. However, in the majority of cases the first port of call will be the Local Authority in the case of a grant, and your bank in the case of the guaranteed loan scheme.

Finally, on behalf of us all here at Richardson Jones, all the best to you, your teams and families. We are all looking forward to seeing you again when this is all over.
